Reiki How I Work Distance Healing Animal Treatments Free Healing List To Book a Treatment Learn Reiki Reiki: FAQs	Distance Healing Because Reiki is a form of energy healing, the physical presence of the client is not required for a treatment to be effective. Success here relies on the Practitioner having received the appropriate training which then allows them to “connect” to the Recipient energetically. This can take practice, but once the Practitioner is experienced enough to achieve the connection using their concentration and intention, the healing is sent. Reiki can basically be sent anywhere – maybe to the next room – maybe half-way around the world. Distance healing is especially effective when the Client is bedridden or hospitalised or else, is simply too far away for the practitioner to reach them within a reasonable time. It is also effective when treating animals or children, who may not be so amenable to lying still on a couch for any period of time. Clients who have received Distance Healing have reported similar feelings during the treatment to those lying on the couch – feelings of heat or cold, tingles or weight on a particular spot etc. This is not an inferior treatment! Improvements to conditions, if treated regularly, are equal to that of a one-to-one treatment. Clients should ensure they can relax in a quiet space for the duration of the treatment and be prepared to nap afterwards! For local Clients, I prefer to meet for a face-to-face session initially in order to establish a happy-dialogue and get immediate feedback on the treatment - but am then happy to continue treatments on a distance basis if that is required. For non-local Clients, I am happy to initiate Distance-Healing straight-away, and can send anywhere across the Globe.
